Java Green Peacocks! I call them the “Diva’s” of the peafowl world. They are flighty and particular. They don’t like it too cold and will lay fewer than 12 eggs per season. Why is it the more beautiful the animal, the more difficult they can be? Their gorgeous plumage far outweighs their unique husbandry requirements. They are spectacular.

Summer is almost here at Namaste Farms. The flowers are in full bloom and so beautiful. I have chicks hatching which makes everyday feel like Christmas when I was little. I get up to check and see if I have any hatchers and hold the eggs to my ears to hear any pips. It is so fun! I will try and post pictures of my new chicks frequently; we are raising Marans (Bev Davis, Ron Presley lines), Giant Cochins, and Ameracuanas.
